How to create a new biomodule from a construct

Biomodules are the building blocks of Doulix. You can easily and quickly combine biomodules to assemble new constructs using pre-made parts. Here you will find how to create your biomodules by extracting a sequence from a construct.

Biomodules are the building blocks of Doulix. A biomodule is any linear double-stranded DNA fragment with a well defined biological function such as CDS, terminator, or gRNA. Here you will find how to create your Biomodules and edit the basic information linked to them.

With DNA studio it's easy to create your a collection of Biomodules to create modular designs by extracting sequences from constructs:

  1. Navigate to your construct vault and access your Construct sequence
  2. Select the region of DNA you want to create a Biomodule for
  3. Right-click on the DNA sequence and choose "

Done! Your sequence is now available as a Biomodule to design your next Construct. All your biomodule can be find in your Biomodule vault.
